Before him laid the empty landscape of Treasure Town in the evening, an eerie silence ringing in his ears as he stood rather tensely, feeling the blistering wind rock his core. Instead of getting to some sort of shelter, he stubbornly continued walking along the dirt path, taking a little stroll. It was standard to take a walk after eating dinner, and Raiden would be the last person to break a tradition. After all, he considered himself to be a gentleman, and gentleman keep things ritual. So here he was.
As he put one foot in front of the other, he looked up, across the horizon of the sea that lay just beyond Sharpedo Bluff. The sun was setting a rather beautiful scene, a scene for all to see but no one to witness. A faint smile could be deciphered somewhere in Raiden's face and he picked up his speed just a bit, ignoring the whistling of the wind. A Gulpin sat at the base of a tree just across the intersection of the roads, easily dozing off. "Evening." With the nod of his head Raiden acknowledge the Pokemon, who could hardly do the same. The Gulpin hardly managed to say a word, just emanating a brief grunt to show he had heard the Jolteon. Feeling a bit disgusted by the disgruntled pokemon, Raiden glanced away and ran a few feet, leaving the cluster of tents and shops behind and emerging in the plains that stretched for just a few yards above Sharpedo Bluff.
"Wow, what a beautiful sunset." he cooed, tilting his head and resting on his hind legs. A pinkish hue swept across the evening sky rather beautifully, the yellow and orange of the sun giving it a rather vibrant, yet tranquil glow that sure had Raiden's eyes sparkling with awe. It had been quite a while since he had seen a view such as this one, his mind taking him back to the day when he had climbed the mountain above Shaymin Village. With a silent sigh, Raiden absorbed the view and let his thoughts melt away.

[atrb=valign, top][style=border-left:4px solid #fa7a7a; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; padding-left:8px; text-align:justify; text-transform:lowercase; padding-right:8px;]whoosh, the wind sped by causing two long yellow ears to flick up, and then slowly recede back down to a small head. eyes, watering and squinted, flickered around looking for some kind of shelter some where from the thick wind pushing the yellow creature back as she made her way down the path. oh how she loathed weather like this, it made her fur all ruffled and unsettled! and that's not how a lady is supposed to show herself.
she zoned out, her mind drifting else where deep in her own brain, but she kept walking. unaware of what she was doing. her mind drifted back to her mother, and the father she couldn't quite remember. w-why is it so blurry? it was troubling her, the fact she couldn't remember her own parents unsettled her. all she could seem to remember was the way they cooed her name when she was just a newborn, "nilly, nilima.." but it faded off. and that's when she snapped back into reality, and the world surrounding her.
her eyes unfogged and in front of her, not to far away, was another yellow blob. "who is that?" she was suddenly alert crouching down, with only her ears up to catch the wind and sense any movements. but this other pokemon, he or she didn't seem to be doing anything wrong. nilima sighed, and got back up walking cautiously towards the other creature. when she was in earshot, she called out "hello, my name is nilly. i-i don't know if i know you, but i'm hoping you've had a good day." this was not like her, she usually knew how to talk to others. but electric types caught her off guard. they could spark at any second.

Irritation was not a typical feeling for Raiden, believe me, but you could almost see his lips curl downward as his eyes laid locked on the sun as it made its final encore, soon to be dipping below the horizon and disappearing until the next morning. That was something he truly, truly enjoyed. Knowing that the sun would set and rise the next day, only to set again. The continued cycle was soothing, comforting. To know that he would be greeted by the sun each da---Wait, who was there? Slowly turning around, a Pikachu came into the Jolteon's line of sight, sitting rather calmly.
His face was relaxed as he looked at her, her soft voice ringing out rather timidly. "hello, my name is nilly. i-i don't know if i know you, but i'm hoping you've had a good day."
Hmph. How sweet. Bowing his head in greeting, Raiden smiled at her ever so slightly. "Good evening, Nilly. I'm Raiden. I have been having a great day, by the way, thank you. I've been sitting here for a bit, just watching this pretty sunset. It's been quite soothing. Kind of countering the wind." his eyes quickly wandered back to the horizon, but he looked back at Nilly. Smiling, he tilted his head a bit. "How has your day been? You're welcome to join me, if you'd like. You don't seem like a bad pokemon." he said, just a hint of sarcasm in his voice during his final sentence. With that he turned back around, almost perfectly still as he continued to enjoy the view.
Almost on purpose the wind picked up a bit more after falling again, and the Jolteon let out a faint growl. Just ignore it, Raiden. he told himself, sighing almost inaudibly. He glanced back at Nilly, who was still sitting there, and beckoned her over with the flicking of his ears. "You really should, its beautiful." he cooed softly, looking at her. "Join me, that is."
OOC: Okay, cool. The lowercase doesn't bother me, but i know it can irritate some people. And sorry its still so short at 362, I have trouble with these kinds of threads sometimes. Especially since Raiden's personality is so new to me. Well written, by the way! c:
