As the heracross and vulpix traversed through the caves, a good amount of loot was found. As Phlair was looking for cystals, Zenon had found some poke, along with some other jewels the cub didn't spot. They looked decent enough to be sold, so the beetle pokemon slipped them into his bag for later. As of now, they hadn't run into anyone else other than slumbering wild pokemon. While this was a good thing, it meant that Zenon's plan wasn't going as well as he wanted to. Not one explorer or another sign of intelligent life in the cave had been found.
The beetle scratched his horn irritatingly before the sound of wings flapping echoed through the area. A scream of surprise alerted him that Phlair had found something. Zenon turned to see that something was a someone. A honchkrow, in its deafening caw, had landed in front of their path. Zenon glared at the dark type, crossing his arms. Was he looking for a fight? If anything, by sheer type advantage, he could possibly deal with him, but something told the heracross that he was...dunno, stronger?
The crow soon spoke clearly, introducing himself and requesting some assistance. Though with his tone of voice, it didn't seem like he was looking for assistance, but rather a pawn. That smirk spread across his beak didn't make him seem all the more trustworthy either. Honestly, just something about him told the heracross that this guy wasn't an explorer. "Another outlaw? Possibly. Might as well use him to get my butt out of here. I don't need this kid hanging around me any longer." he thought.
Phlair had decided to go and introduce Zenon without his consent, then herself. The vulpix was just bounding with innocent energy. The beetle pokemon rolled his eyes before eyeing the honchkrow. "Depends. What do you need help with? If you got yourself inside the caves this easy, I don't see how you'd need my help." The heracross said. Yes, he was speaking about himself. The vulpix would honestly be no help at all, but rather a hindrance. Hence why Zenon wanted to be rid of her in the easiest way possible. Outing himself really wasn't the best way to do it, but if he had no choice...

"Well it's nice to meet you Miss Phlair and Mr. Zenon," NightWing said as he tipped his fedora like crest on his head with his smile still on his face. The Honchkrow then noticed that the Heracross was looking at him strangely, maybe the bug was getting a little suspicious. If this Zenon guy got smart and figured out what NightWing was really up to he'd make sure this cave was his grave.
When he noticed that the Vulpix dropped the crystal he wanted to snatch it from her but figured that wouldn't be the smartest idea seeing as the Heracross would probably get in the way. Now the Heracross had asked how he could help him. NightWing was honestly surprised the Heracross asked him that and a annoyed face grow across the Honchkrow.
"Well," He began with a annoyed tone. "I'm looking for crystals like your little Vulpix friend has here but not any crystals the rarest and shiniest ones you can find and I was wondering if you would like to help me find some? I'll be sure to split the profit with you," He said with a evil smirk. He wasn't going to split anything with them as soon as he was done it was time to eradicate them.

If there was one thing that Phlair could see, it was annoyance and anger... And it was obvious that Nightwing was annoyed with something and she didn't figure it was herself as Zenon was the last one who had spoken. Had Zenon said something that was offensive? Not in her eyes... Zenon had a point and the honchkrow shouldn't be offended. After all, if he'd made it through the cave on his own he must be pretty strong! Maybe he was strong like Zenon... Wow! I get to explore with two strong pokemon! I'm soooooo lucky!
"I'm looking for crystals like your little Vulpix friend has here but not any crystals the rarest and shiniest ones you can find and I was wondering if you would like to help me find some? I'll be sure to split the profit with you, The answer sounded like an honest one to Phlair. The honchkrow probably couldn't find the biggest crystals without an expert-crystal-hunting-vulpix present! Phlair's tails shivered with anticipation at searching for more rare jewels. If there was any rare or shiny crystals to be found then she would find them! Unable to hold her peace anymore she turned to face Zenon and spoke in her most persuasive voice possible, "Please, Mr. Zenon-Heracross, you have to let him come with us! I'm an expert jewel finder and he needs my help to find them! We can all share everything so it'll be alright! So, pleeeeeaaaaase...." She smiled endearingly at the heracross as she looked up with her large gray eyes.

Damnit. Why did Phlair have to be so freaking innocent about this!? Everything about this bird screamed that something was going to happen if he said yes. The fact that the crow had gotten here on his own meant that he was strong enough to go here on his own merit. Never mind the jewel searching, Zenon just didn't trust this guy as far as he could throw him. The smirk plastered on his beak spoke a lot of things. But was he scared? No. He could handle himself should a fight occur, and even with an advantage, the honchkrow was bound to be careful and not slip up.
"But still... [/color]" The heracross thought. If anything, this 'mon was probably intelligent enough to know that he was thinking about saying no, even if the vulpix agreed. The fact that he agreed to split the profit was a bad enough vibe. Wether or not he was being paranoid for no reason, Zenon had to be on his toes. Sadly, the vulpix cub had agreed to have him join. Just great. With a sigh, he turned toward the vulpix with a smile. " Phlair, could you leave Nightwing and I alone for bit? I just need to get some stuff across with him since we're all in together on this. It's just some boring stuff so I don't want to bore you." he asked the fox cub nicely. On the premise that she had said yes, the heracross walked toward the honchkrow with a knowing smirk. " Let's get to business, shall we? I don't think I have to tell ya to be careful of the rockheads around here." Word Count: 275 Total Word Count: 3625 [/blockquote]

NightWing smiled, the Vulpix was fund of the idea of having to help the Honchkrow but the Heracross was going to be a problem. It seems NightWing had a choice, either deal with the Heracross in a violet matter or just try and convince the bug type he was a friend. Even if they got into a psychical altercation he had a serious type advantage seeing as Heracross were both bug and fighting type pokemon.
"The "rockheads" as you say it aren't a problem," NightWing began with a smile. He thought for a moment what would be a good lie to spill so he could get this bug off his back.
"This isn't my first time here you see and every time I've come here I never seem to find any crystals worth keeping. It seems your friend as a knack for finding them so I find it profitable to travel with you two," He lied hoping this would please the Heracross.
